Who We Are ...
 
First Christian Church at Brockhall is an independent community of Christians that accept the Bible as the final authority for all matters of faith and practices.

Originally formed in December 1912 in Capitol Heights, MD, we relocated in 1970 to Upper Marlboro, MD. The first worship service in the new building was on February 6, 1972.

Today, the First Christian Church at Brockhall in Upper Marlboro, MD continues to be a vibrant multiethnic community of believers that welcome you to join us in worshipping God, following His Son, Jesus Christ, and loving and serving Christ's church.

We are here to offer the real hope of Jesus Christ to all those looking for peace, purpose and community in the real world.
 
 
 
What is Brock Hall?
 
Brockhall is one of the oldest subdivisions in Upper Marlboro, Maryland in Prince George’s County.

Three hundred years ago, a Scottish tobacco plantation owner named Edward Brock owned six hundred plus acres that are now the subdivisions of Brockhall, Collington and Perrywood. Brock was also one of the 850 slaveholders in the area. More slaves worked here than in any other county in the state. After his death, he willed the land to his son-in-law, Thomas Offutt and his grandsons.

Ironically, this same land in Prince Georges’ County today has the most affluent population of African Americans living in the U.S.

We are striving to make our church a shining light of diversity and unity in the family of God.
