We Believe...

    • God to be eternal in nature and creator of our world and everything in it (John 1:3). He created man in His image to enjoy fellowship with God for all Eternity.  He is wholly loving, righteous, holy and just.
    • Jesus to be the Head of the Church. He is "...the Christ, the Son of the Living God" (Matthew 16:16). He is God (John 1:1), in the flesh (John 1:14), who came from heaven to redeem fallen man. He is the Messiah, the Savior of the world, who died on a cross to save us from the penalty of sin. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through me" (John 14:6).  He is coming back one day to consummate His kingdom in the New Heaven and the New Earth (Revelation 21-22).
    • The Holy Spirit is the indwelling presence of God who marks us as Christians (Ephesians 1:13). He is given as a gift to all who repent and are baptized (Acts 2:38). He empowers us to accomplish works of service (I Corinthians 12:7). He is the Helper sent by God that we might walk in such a way to bear faithful witness (John 15:26-27). Through Him we are able to bear godly fruit in our lives (Galatians 5:22). The Bible to be the Holy Spirit-inspired Word of God, His revelation of Himself and His will for man. It is the Christian’s guidebook to a  purposeful life, a road map to heaven and the only standard by which right and wrong is to be judged.
    • In unity on matters of faith, liberty in freedom of opinion and in all things, love.
    • We are not the only body of Christians; rather, we are “Christians” only.
    • In speaking where the Bible speaks and being silent as a church voice where the Bible is silent.
    • The Bible to be the only church manual, creed, or order of dogma.
    • One is saved by having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ (John 14:6, Acts 4:12).   Salvation is by God's love and mercy - by His grace.  All have sinned and are thus lost on our own. Nothing we do can earn the salvation of God.  He has provided the way to Christ’s atoning work on the cross.  We simply are called to respond to Christ’s atoning work as God's Word directs:
      • BELIEVE that He is the only begotten Son of God, sent to save us (Acts 8:37).
      • PROFESS our faith in Him to those about us (Matt. 10:32,33).
      • REPENT from our sinful ways and turn to follow Christ daily in our lives (Luke 13:3, Acts 17:30)
      • BE BAPTIZED (by immersion) for the remission/forgiveness of our sins (Acts 2:38, 22:16, Romans 6:3-6, I Peter 3:21, Galatians 3:27).
    • One retains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by remaining faithful to God’s Word (2 Tim 2:12; Rev 2:10; Heb 3:6, 14).
    • It is the privilege / responsibility of all Christians to take the "Good News" of Jesus’ to others.
    • The local congregation to be autonomous - self-existing, with no superior officer or body to oversee them collectively. We acknowledge only the leadership of Jesus Christ beyond the local leadership of the Elders; we believe the minister is to be a spiritual leader, administrator and director of church services.
    • The main purpose of the believer and the church existing is to bring glory, honor and praise to the Heavenly Father, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit in and through each endeavor undertaken.
